Dax on the Bike. Greenline Cycles is a great bike shop. One feels inspired just walking in…and its because the owner, Dax Downey, inspires.
Started today’s shoot on a pink cruiser with our first stop under a freeway with this mural nearby…it’s been a great but interesting shoot so far.
A little tune I made this morning instead of doing what I should have been doing…household chores.

A couple headshots from a client shoot yesterday. Kerrie always makes it easy. These were natural light (with reflector). I’m finding myself tiring of the complications of high-production value shoots…lights, stands, clamps, sandbags etc. This quote from Annie Leibovitz’s book, ‘At Work’ highlights this issue.
“Arnold Newman said that photography is one percent talent and ninety-nine percent moving furniture. I think about that sometimes when we’re on location and we’ve moved the set-the stage, the lights, the backdrop, sandbags, fans. And moved them again. And again. I just have to close my eyes to everything that’s being done. The manual labor is daunting.” -Annie Leibovitz
Seriously.
This is just awesome. I love the creative mind that takes an empty shipping container and turns it into a play and guest house. So cool. Great photos from Chris Cooper too.
Riding the Ferry from Marin to SF and back is such an elegant way to travel.
The Redrock Micro Stubling arrived today…it’s awesome. Field tests coming this weekend…but I’m impressed so far.
